For those who will be residing off base, Amazon.it (same login, same password is used for each country, www.amazon.it vice .com) is relatively quick and delivers purchases to Italian addresses. It can also be configured for English. 

Poste Italiane 

(Italian Postal Service)

For international mail and packages, or for items you have received, but were not at home,  Poste Italiane (the Italian Postal System) is available in most towns. NOTE: The Poste Italiane is typically understaffed, over tasked and hours are limited. It can be challenging at times to utilize their services.
